Scope of Image Restoration Features

OneLabs image restoration features are auxiliary tools intended to improve damaged or low-quality images.

1. Purpose of the Feature

Image restoration features are intended to improve the visual quality of old photos, blurry images, noisy images, and partially damaged images. These features do not perfectly restore the original; they are auxiliary features that use image processing and AI enhancement technology to generate visually improved results.

2. Restoration Scope That May Be Provided

OneLabs may provide the following image improvement features.

  • Image resolution improvement
  • Sharpness correction for blurry images
  • Noise reduction
  • Color and brightness improvement
  • Correction of certain scratches, stains, and damaged areas
  • Image format conversion and quality optimization

3. Cases Where Restoration May Be Difficult

In the following cases, restoration results may be limited or expected quality may not be guaranteed.

  • The original image resolution is extremely low
  • Important information such as faces, objects, or backgrounds is severely damaged
  • Cut-off areas or nonexistent information must be accurately recovered
  • Motion blur, compression damage, or noise is very severe
  • Letters, numbers, or document contents within an image must be accurately restored
  • The image is used for accuracy-sensitive purposes such as legal evidence, identity verification, or medical materials

4. Limitations of AI Restoration

AI restoration may estimate and correct details that do not exist in the original. During this process, textures, faces, letters, backgrounds, or object shapes that differ from reality may be generated, and OneLabs cannot guarantee that restoration results match the facts of the original.

  • Details generated by AI may not be actual information.
  • For portrait images, facial shape or skin texture may appear differently from the original.
  • Letters or numbers may be distorted or incorrectly generated.
  • Restoration results should be treated as reference images.

5. Prohibited Restoration Requests

OneLabs restricts the following restoration requests to maintain safe service operation.

  • Restoration of illegally recorded images or images recorded or distributed without consent
  • Image processing that may infringe another person’s privacy, personal information, or portrait rights
  • Image processing related to obscene material or sexual exploitation material
  • Inappropriate image processing involving minors
  • Image manipulation intended to deceive or impersonate others
  • Image processing intended for crime, fraud, or spreading false information
  • Image processing that infringes copyright or other rights

6. Responsibility for Originals and Outputs

Users must have lawful rights to use the images they upload. Users are responsible for copyright, portrait rights, personal information, and other legal issues arising from the use of uploaded images and restoration outputs.

7. Review of Outputs

Users must review restoration outputs directly, and before using them for important purposes such as commercial use, public posting, or submission materials, users must verify the rights to the original and the accuracy of the output. OneLabs does not guarantee that restoration results are suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Feature Changes

The scope, processing method, supported file formats, and restriction standards for image restoration features may change according to service improvement and operating policies. Changes may be announced through the service screen or policy page.
